My Review of Waiting For Doggo by Mark B Mills

I am so sorry I waited quite a while to read this book! It is so good! Waiting For Doggo is released on 20/11/2014

No-one ever called Dan a pushover. But then no-one ever called him fast-track either. He likes driving slowly, playing Sudoku on his iPhone, swapping one scruffy jumper for another. What I Say:

I had no idea what to expect when I started reading this book. No, that's a lie. I expected a kind of mediocre blah blah story about a man and a dog and they saved each other etc etc...

I had heard a lot of hype about Doggo on Twitter and had high hopes that this book would be different. IT SO WAS!!

Waiting For Doggo is a story about an ugly little dog with a heart as big as a giant. He's quirky, wise and funny. He has his own little way of loving people and it's so heart warming and endearing. I love how he kind of worships Jennifer Aniston! That was so cute!

Dan is a great character and the perfect match for Doggo. He's a bit naïve, a bit of a dork but so likeable. He's not sure what to make of his new situation and Doggo helps him to learn and adjust to it. They are a great pair to read about. Edie is adorable too. I really, really liked her!

This isn't your usual fluffy human and animal story at all! Doggo is a huge personality and I'm so glad I read this book! It's just a great, lovely, warm but funny story! 8/10

First off, I must apologise to Zoe and Carol. My blog tour stop was yesterday, and somehow my post got lost in the ether. I didn't notice until today, as thr hubby hasn't been well, and my time has been taken up with my dogs and caring for hubs. So, a day late and pared down from my original post due to lack of time, here is my review of A.Truth For A Truth by the wonderful Carol Wyer. Review: What can I say?? Any book by Carol Wyer is going to be a hit in my opinion, and this is no exception. DI Kate Young is a flawed character who is full of heart and humility. I think she's been dealt a shit hand in life, and struggles to figure out her path. Traumas and dramas, untrustworthy men, and unstable mental health make her slightly difficult to bond with sometimes. But still, I care a lot about her wellbeing. This installment of her series is really compelling, and an interesting take on a "who dunnit". More of a "who will they THINK dunnit"! I loved that!
