What I Say:
 
I LOVED THIS BOOK! Like, so much! I have read some of Ruth's stuff before and we've chatted loads on Twitter and FB so I was really excited when I was invited to review this new book. The premise is fantastic and right up my street.
 
I fully believe in ghosts and have quite a lot of experience in this area myself (I know, weirdo!) and who doesn't love a good Christmas story? Cleo is a brilliant character, so warm and natural. I really liked her and felt for her. Her job as an Egyptologist was really interesting and I loved learning more about her job and her passion.
 
Alex, oh, Alex. I loved him. Such a tortured soul but so full of hope. My heart hurt for him and Rafe. I just wanted them to be ok and sort their issues out. The characters in this book were just so perfect. Balancing good and bad in perfect harmony and drawing you in to their world.
 
The Christmas theme that runs through Dead Romantic is delicious. So cosy and toasty and festive. I can't WAIT for Christmas now!
 
I have to say, this book is now firmly on my Books of the Year list and has cemented Ruth Saberton as one of my favourite authors to watch out for.
 
A delicious, spine tingling lovely read 10/10
